What you’ll need:

Simply cut fold the black cardstock in half and secure your scrap paper wing template next to the fold. Cut around the template, unfold and voila! Glorious bats to spookify your home for Halloween! Here are some instructional shots as well as a few images of the final product.

Holiday Inspired Post *Halloween*
October 27th, 2011
In the spirit of Halloween we decided to give you a treat with this post inspired by one of our favorite holidays. Is one of the few times a year that we get to dress up and feel like a kid again. Though it is also a great time to plan a big wedding around! What could be more fun than providing your guests with a bit of mystery and fun on your special day!
For Decor we found these pumpkins and black feathers to give a sense of fall and though there are no jack-o-lanterns here, they still serve a purpose of Halloween in a more subtle way.
Accessorize with a black birdcage veil accompanied by a side bun, its a way to bring a touch of mystery and elegance. Black bridesmaid dresses, besides being functional are also a great backdrop for any bouquet. In this case the wildflowers are showcased quite beautifully with the black dress in the background.
Here’s the perfect cake topper for a wedding day on this holiday, this one is done inspired by Dia De Los Muertos ( The Day of the Dead)
And finish off with a wonderful orange elixir to tie in that beautiful pumpkin color!

Cheers and Happy Halloween!
Tuesday Inspiration – Alyne Bridal Fall 2012!
October 25th, 2011
We had an amazing few days at New York’s bridal market last week and are beyond excited about the new collections being shown. We thought we would share with you a few exciting gowns from Alyne’s Fall 2012 line that we were loving. All images via Martha Stewart Weddings.
First up is a beautiful trumpet silhouette with a soft scooping neckline and delicate rouching. Adding one of our amazing Rivini belts (pictured below) would take this dress to another level!
Next up is a lovely natural-waisted ballgown gown with an illusion neckline that we were seeing quite a bit on the runways. Favorite aspects of this gown? The longer train and pleating at the waistline. Love!!
And last but certainly not least, is a full lace stunner in a trumpet silhouette featuring a beautiful V-neck and floral sash. The detail on this gown is beautiful – not that we would expect anything else from Alyne!
We are on the edge of our seats in anticipation of these new gowns arriving in store and we bet you are pretty excited too! Keep your eyes on our blog for all of the latest gowns that come through our doors – we’ll be featuring them each week in our Inspiration and Product posts!
Weekend DIY – Sparkly Shoe Heaven!
October 22nd, 2011
By Keely
We’ve seen a lot of our brides deciding to rock wonderfully sparkly shoes on their wedding days. We’re all about the sparkle, so we thought we’d do a little research into how to make these on our own. Lucky for us, we found this amazing instructional by We Are Not Martha. They look so easy and fun, we’re dying to give it a try!
It looks like all you’ll need it some Mod Podge, glitter, a foam brush, clear glaze spray and a pair of plain flats in any color. Here are some snap shots from the gals at We Are Not Martha. Check it out!
Simply mix the Mod Podge with lots of glitter and coat a thick layer onto the shoes – don’t worry, the glue dries clear!
The instructions say to do 3 or 4 coats to get the full glitter effect – but be sure to let the Mod Podge dry completely between each coat! When you’re done with the final coat, spray the shoes with the glaze spray to keep the glittery goodness in place when you rock the flats. And voila! The final product:
LOVE! Send us your pictures of the final result and we’ll do the same. Can’t wait to try. Happy DIYing!!

Real Wedding Wednesdays: Alexis & Joseph got married on August 6th, 2011
October 19th, 2011
Lets give a little back-story about this beautiful gown by Lusan Mandongus that Alexis wore on he big day in August. Every time we would put this gown on a mannequin in the window people will always find themselves attracted to it ( including us of course), so when we finally got to see it on actual bride on her wedding day the effect of that gown was even that more memorable. We are so pleased to see that this dress was exactly what we imagined if not more. Congratulations to the happy couple and thank you for sharing these beautiful images taken by Bethany Bandera.

Tuesday Inspiration – Dessert Tables!
October 18th, 2011
By Keely
Quite frankly, who isn’t inspired by desserts? I was at a beautiful wedding in Lake George a couple of weekends ago and the bride and groom decided to feature carrot cake and a variety of pies for dessert along warm cider donuts as a late-night treat. While I failed to capture photos of the yummy table, I decided to pull a few of my favorite dessert table images from Pinterest to share with you all.
A lot of couples are veering away from the traditional wedding cake and deciding to have multiple options. These kind of dessert tables are a really fun way to feature desserts that have meaning to you and your hubby-to-be. And, if you’re a master baker, it’s a great way to show off to your family and friends! They will undoubtedly be amazed and appreciative of all the love and effort you put into your big day.
As a cookie lover, I happen to LOVE this idea from 100 Layer Cake:
Yummy donut inspiration from A Realistic Wedding:
Love this cupcake in a jar idea from Bargain Hoot – what a fun way to send off your guests!
I’m pretty sure I see caramel apples on this table – YUM! Thanks to Elizabeth Anne Designs for this one:
Love the backdrop and plethora of delicious desserts on this table featured on Green Wedding Shoes:
Hope you’re feeling inspired! I’m thinking of baking a few apple pies today, myself!!
